My engine has a rod knocking and I need a used engine. I am located in Ky and finding any 6G celica's is not easy. If anyone closeby has a good motor or knows of a salvage yard that has one, please post here the info for me to contact them please.

have you tried looking for a camry 5s and just swapping your engine harness over to it if it's obd2?

If anyone knows what other cars have the same engine I can use one of those, Celica's are just hard to find around here.

As far as I know Camry's are the only other ones with a 5s in it. Maybe avalons.... but unlikely. Don't forget to look for 5th gen celicas either. They also ran 5s's. If you're just looking for a motor..... just throwing ideas.

Others would argue that will your 5s on the way out, you should swap in something different. the current trend is v6 motors. such as the 1mz.

I am not really wanting to have to switch anything out, just change the motor with 1 like what was in it.

Older Rav4's from the same era have the 5S as well.
