Hi guys, I'm currently replacing the head gasket on a 1993 5th gen celica and theres a few things im stuck on eg getting the bottom bolts off the ex manifold. ive been searching and searching for a how to on removing a 3sge head but havent had any luck.. anyone have or know where I can find a how to? would be much appreciated. Thanks

EDIT: Also if theres no How to then could someone tell me how the heck to remove the lower left bolt on the timing belt cover.. do I need to remove the left engine mount..?

this is why i pull the entire engine out. makes pulling the head so much easier

Yeah I had a dream that I did that last night. Makes an hour bolt removal turn into 2 seconds

It's a pain in the ass especially with an awd tranny on the back. Use lots of extensions and swivels so you're using the wratchet below the bottom of the and actually have room to turn.

Yeah im stuck with the right Manifold to downpipe bolt, cant get under it as the crossmember, engine mount, tranny and several hundered other things are in the way. Stumped!

In the above sticky the 'ST202 3S-GE repair manual' has info on how to remove the Gen 3 head, from page EG-66, but I'm not sure about reinstalling sorry.
