Ok.. iam going to do a good tune up of my engine, cuz it hasnt had 1 in a while... to clean the fuel injectors i can just use a bottle that you add to your tank.. BUT which one.. there is a million?? which is the best?? also for cleaning the throttle body what can i use?? there is some kind of aresol spray.. will it work?? also i was lookin around today and i saw octane boost like racing formula and stuff?? does that stuff really work. iam just curious... What else would u suggest i do for a good tune up??

Your help is appreciated.
Well, I think if you're gonna clean your injectors, just toss some Sea Foam in the tank.
ne other suggestions guys?
Or BG (you have to get this at an authorized service station). Check out www.bgprod.com for more information.
Thank you.. now what should i get for cleaning out my throttle body?? and what else should i clean??
The normal "Gumout" brand spray fuel sys cleaner is as good as most any. or whatever they have on the shelf. The Techron stuff is good for putting in the fuel tank. Amsoil also has both an additive (PI) and a good spray cleaner (PowerFoam), just did both to mine last week.
I'd stay away from the octane boosters unless you have done some mods to raise the compression or other stuff to cause you to need it. It really wont help a stock car, and can make it run worse.

ahh i went to day and i looked at the some stuff called Chevron?? it said "Fuel injector cleaner" then in small print under it said with Techron Additive... Is that the stuff that is good?? its was like 3 or 4 bucks a bottle..... or is it this stuff that had a Big label that says Techron... its like 10 bucks and its a Fuel System Cleaner, not just an injector cleaner. What is the one you guys are talking about?? just the injector cleaner or the Fuel System Cleaner? heres a pic..

So is the one you guys like and use the 10 dollar one and it says Techron in big letters and its for the whole Fuel System or is it the 4 dollar one and it just cleans the injectors and it says Techron in small letters??

Thanx

I know an aersol can that i just spray in and on to it, but i need to know names and things that i can pick up at Advance Auto Parts.. Thanx >smile.gif> O yea and tomorrow the remote starter gets installed >smile.gif>
Yes, use the $10 bottle it works great but idk where you live but I know that you can get it much cheaper, I just bought 2 bottles at $3.49/bottle. They were on closeout at a Sears Hardware store.
BTW, be careful not to use too much injector cleaner because i have seen that stuff eat up the fuel rail linings and clog the injectors.
