I love the booth photos.... nothing like fresh paint

thanks guys!
spy, its really tough to give an accurate estimate over the internet, especially without good detailed pics.
it really depends on how much you want to spend, and what exactly you want out of the car.
if your just looking at a basic respray, no jams, basecoat clearcoat, with under 5hrs of body work (no cut and weld patch work) your probably looking somewhere between 1500-2k.
if you want everything removed, door jams done the right way (doors off) windows out, ect, with a show quality paint job, your easily looking @ 5k plus.
by the same token, i paint cars in single stage paint, just quick "make it all one color" jobs, like i did on my own car (not jenns blue one, my white one) for under 800 all day, with some basic body work.
its really all about what you want out of the finished product.
cam: yea, im definetly learning and improving every day.
its funny, your dad is the one who really gave me the confidence to know i could do this...
one day, when i FIRST started painting @ maaco, (they had just got rid of someone, and gave me a shot cause i hounded em about it..lol) your dad was watching me thru the windows of the booth.
when i walked out of the booth, he looked at me and said "your gonna be GOOD at this. you've got the right feel for how to move." right then i knew i could do it, and i constantly look back at that moment for motivation when i need it.
coming from your dad, (who by the way, is one of the BEST painters i've seen by a long shot! lol) it really let me know i was on the right track.
