Use a hair dryer to heat up the emblem (the adhesive) and then floss.

30 minutes tops.
Heat it up, floss. Heat it up some more, floss some more. Repeat until the emblem falls off. Then heat up the remaining adhesive and try to rub off what you can. What little is left over - use a clay kit to run over the area until the surface is clean, then polish to remove oxidation. Lastly, wax it and seal it. Stand back and look at the wonder you have created.

Real happy with the results. Follow the exact instructions as per above, although i used fishing line instead of floss

Looks great! I did it on my Celica (my 95, not the 96), on my WRX, and it was already done on my MR2. Love the look.
