I just install the K&N stock filter replacement and was wondering if I need to reset the ecu or not? I've read in a couple different fourms and some say you do and others so you don't? If so, how would I reset the ecu?

I did that when I put mine in I believe you just unhook the negative battery cable and the little extra ground wire to frame and wait a minute or so.

The ECU will compensate over time, so you don't need to reset it. It will force the ECU to compensate more quickly, however. Basic power disconnection is sufficient.

i'd be interested in seeing if you see any improvements on Mpg - i have a thread here http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=80536 that I hope to talk about things like that. So let me know if you see anything after your ecu relearns some stuff.

I don't drive my celicas much, as they are my weekend cars or crusing cars. I will try to monitor the gas as much as I can (fill up full tank and then divide the total miles from the amount of gas used up). What I do notice is a better engine response through out the RPM range.
