Where is the plug supposed to be for the charge cooler pump? - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #80482 8 posts Started by alex1981
I know, it's very much a newbie question, but I will happilly admit it, when it comes to the electrics on this car I don't know where to start.

I have a Celica GT4 (jap) with 3SGTE. It has had the stock cooler removed in favour for a front mounted intercooler. So I am getting code 54 as you would expect and the issues associated with that. I know there is a mod for the plug, where with resistors and a spare plug you can "con" the ECU into thinking that the pump for the cooler is all fine and dandy. I am hoping someone might be able to make the plug mod for me as I am not going to even attempt that.

But where I am stumped is that I cannot find the damn plug let alone anything else. I have looked at pictures on related threads and I know what the plug looks like, but damned if I can find it! So what I am asking kindly for is either directions of where to find the plug, or even better than that, a picture of the engine bay with an arrow to the plug would be superb.

Thanks for any help biggrin.gif biggrin.gif
pretty sure that system was all stuffed under the battery tray and that fender

Thanks for that reply...gave me a point to start searching...and found the bugger! It was pretty much under the battery tray...found a stray wire which looks like the ones people have been describing to me...plus it has the resistor mod. I want to post up pics of it so trusty people on here can give me their opinion if it is right - shall I starta a new thread for that do you think? Or jump in on someone elses? Don't want to be rude!
New thread going to start - thanks for your help with finding it biggrin.gif
