Hello everyone, which is a better engine, the st185 engine or hte st205 engine, i know that the 205 has like 20 more hp but are there adavngages in the 185 if you aren't planning on keeping it stock, like making many mods to the engine itself. Baiscly which has more potential?

well the 205 is going to take more custom work into installation. and the intercoolers are diff. Kuya is about done with his swpa. here is a link to his st-205 swap.swap

ST205 has more power and a more efficient intercooler.

I have a 205 that I have added a 185 top end to for two reasons..

1st want to mess around with TVIS

2nd.. parts are alot easier to get for the 185 - its pretty hard to get just basic stuff for the 205 topend..

personally if I could do it over I woulda just gotten a 185 and saved some money >>
