I remember when I was younger and had a subscription to car and driver, and that one issue every month was like a mini birthday. I forgot how fun it can be to have a good magazine come to your home once a month. So what are some good ones? I'd really like something cool, but in depth as well. Something that I could really learn from and be entertained with at the same time. I really enjoy learning about Toyota engines, but I'm also interested in European engineering as well...And good photography is a deal maker. Any suggestions?

Popular Science has always been a favorite for me.

Great suggestions, thank you. Yeah, Popular Science is awesome in general, but I remember it being hit or miss in car-related articles. I should ask if anyone knows of Japanese language magazines? Might be a pain to import though...
I still like Car & Driver for a stateside publication. Auto, Motor, und Sport out of Germany is also a great magazine, not very entertaining but immensely informative. Top Gear magazine is also very well worth reading, miles above the other two for sheer entertainment.

Is that a German language publication then? I've been meaning to start learning some, I hear it's just like English but all the a's are u's and all intonations are rage.
Yes, a German publication indeed. The language isn't hard to learn, but the creation of certain vocal inflections is challenging.
