Removing JDM Flashers - 6G Celicas Forums

I want to remove the JDM flashers (orange light by the door) because I made mine USDM for inspection.
I was wondering if I remove the JDM ones, the dash lights would act as the light was dead? (quicker tic-tacs)
Or I have to counter it by connecting a resistor with the same Ohm...but I was told the car could get on fire if I did that...

how exactly does not having them make it not DOT? Most DMVs will look to see if it has fender indicators they don't care if it is USDM or not

inspection places dont car if you have any lights on the fenders, i see cars that dont have them on the fender in the first place. i thought the lights on the fenders were just driving lights, not blinkers..

I know, this is why I want to shave the orange jdm flashers from my fenders...but will it mess up my cluster lights if I completely remove the wiring...that was my question

Im not sure about where you are, but in Winnipeg to pass an inspection all you need is to have reflectors on the side of the fender, and you don't have to actually remove the JDM signals, as long as you have an orange reflector on the front of the fender, and turns signals in the front.

I know people who have just temporarily put bike reflectors on there fenders to pass inspections and then taken them off once they had passed.

THEY DONT FLASHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

they are just day time running lights. and if you pull them nothing will happen to the interior lights...

dont believe us? they are easy to pull. so go pull one and see what happens.

SO they're not flashers...I just have to pull and they'll come off? I already took the light out of one though

yeah just pull them out, but pull on the side closest to the door.
