Quick Toyota Question - 6G Celicas Forums

hey, i recently bought an 89 toyota tercel ez 4spd and was just wondering if anyone knew if that motor and tranny would fit in a 1989 toyota camry?

the tercel is a 1.5 and the camry is a 2.0 any answers or advice would be appreciated.

the reason i ask this is because the tercel got rear ended and is totaled and i have a camry just sitting here. the motor still runs strong on the tercel but cant find any shells real cheap and since the camry is here just wanted to know? if any forums about these vehicles would help out alot too!

no tercels had 3e and 5e engine, the camry i believe is a 5s. just like the celica, different mounts and power outputs

yah it's not gonna happen very easily. Major mods for a beater car IMO...not worth it at all
