Hi Guys

For a few weeks ago, I got my Carbon Fibre hood.
Now I am waiting on the GT4-Grille of Booster tuning in Belgium. They are making it from carbon fibre
When I bought my 6C, there was already the Booster bodykit mounted on.

There are a few "round" parts and I gonna make them of carbon.
At first I try the little 2 parts behind my front wheels. Here are some pics playing with carbon

I tried 2 diffrent options:
Here is 1 option

and here is the 2 option

and here is the first part finished

so now i got to try this on the other parts

Definitely option 2, option 1 will look worst after a while when the carbon fiber gets dirty.
This bodykit is not my favorite, but I have to say, that with the carbon details it will be much better. If you ask whether to choose the light or the dark carbon fiber I'd choose the dark one. The whole car was styled to black color so dark carbon will do better by my opinion. Post some pictures with this first carbon fiber part put on.
You see by option 1 where it is placed on the car, that was whit only 1 layer of epoxy (dont know how to call it in english)
It wasn't ready on that picture. it get just the same color as in option 2.
Tomorrow i will place it on the car and make some pictures.
Sorry, I misunderstood the options. Now it's clear to me. I'd still choose the second option as it looks much better and as SupraKid wrote, it won't look good when dirty.
Looking forward to see it no the car!
I have the carbon part mounted on the body and it looks great.
The part in option 1 is cleaned up and now I make it in the same way as option 2.

At this time my tank cover is the smoked see-trough version. Maybe I will made this part of carbon fibre to

Here is a picture of the mounted part
now the kit looks much better!

I hope you'll post some pictures with all the carbon parts installed soon tongue.gif
@ urputus

i need a few weeks to build them, hehe. butt I will hurry up haha

my second part is almost ready. it had a little repair today en tomorrow it wil be ready with clear varnish

looks like knee protectors

Learned a lot in 10 years...I hardly log in anymore, last loginToday Sept 6 2019, and I was forced just to clarify a post. LOLIf you PM me and I dont respond, dont fret or cry. Im alive, better post your questions in the thread below, maybe I log back in2grfe Swapped...Why I chose the 2GR, before you ask read here...A great civilization is not conquered from without until it has destroyed itself from within.@llamaraxing in Instagram is the best way to find me. I hardly log here anymore.
That would be an expensive knee protector.

To BlackWidow: Take your time, there is no need for hurry. Only the result is important and precision needs time wink.gif
So here is an new update.

The second part is already placed on the car

The 3rd part is drying from the clear varnish. Tomorrow it got to be polished and after that it can be replaced

Only in the center it need a little repair

The third part looks good. Is it the "large" front or the rear part?
Do you have any new pictures on the car?
I'm just curious but no hurry. biggrin.gif

This is the part behind the left door on the skirt.

Between the bodykit parts a started 2 new carbon fibre projects.
The clear tank cover is the mold for the carbon edition. Here are some pics off today.

now this part is drying and tomorrow I will take of the mold.

Because the paint of the manifold heat-schield get loose, it will be coverd with a carbon layer.
Here are the pics for so far:

On this pic the epoxy is drying, butt it need 1 or 2 extra layers of epoxy, to get the effect of a carbon fibre hood

Looks great! The third part I meant.
Aren't you afraid, that the heat from manifold will destroy the cf cover of the heat shield? And what more, isn't there a risk of fire?
Yes i know that the heat can be a problem. Butt i will wrap the manifold in with heat-wrap and the schield get a layer of heat resistant tape for cover. I hope that this will help.
I need to try it.

Maybe i will take it to car shows and putt it on @ the location, for show use only hehe
I think epoxy is higly flamable, so I would recommend not to use it on long rides. I hope you have a fire extinguisher in your car:p

Would be great for car shows!

I will create 2 parts on the front and 3 on the back. And I am waiting for the carbon GT4 Grille from Booster Tuning

Here are some pics of my heatschield, it is not finished at the moment. Tomorrow I will go on. The inside of the heatschield is covered with heat-resistant tape what they use in rally

Tomorrow a new update with new pictures
Here are some extra pictures of the parts

The heatschield

and inside the schield with a few layers of heat-resistant tape
sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet that cover looks nice, put header wrap on your manifold?
I don't mind that bodykit, but damn, with the carbon it looks amazing. And I love the carbon heat shield.
............... and got contact lenses

Here are they placed on the car. I can take them off when I am driving and place them when I got to events

and a little photoshoot near the highway

@ terbeau: The mold I made is killed, but i can make a new one. Maybe this time with fibreglass if there are more people intrested in.

@jordisonjr: Thanx. No I paint the lenses black from the backside, so the light cant get trough the lenses. And those lights are only for bad vision on dark roads. Butt I can take them off the car, these are not attached to the lamp.
Het kit is niet helemaal mijn smaak, maar de vakmanschap ziet er prachtig uit. thumbsup.gif Heel mooi gedaan.

When you unlock the hood, there is a rubber seal between de hood and the bumper. When you take the 4 screws away you can pull the bumper a few cm away from the headlights. There you can pop it in and out smile.gif
Get the GT4 CF scoop yet? I'm interested to see how it turns out... biggrin.gif
