S54 or e153
Further info:
Early camry (pre 94) 5sp will work. Celica s54 will work. The short gearing will make it quick off the line, but higher rpm at highway speeds.
E153 from later camry solara. Stronger, heavier, longer gearing.

Knowing him, he's probably going to want the s54 for the shorter gears cause he wants to get into some vroom vroom stuff in the local area. As for the wiring, it would just be almost the same as the celica to go from a2m?
As for the alxes, what ones would fit?

Well I didn't know cause I know with the E153 you have to use different axles and whatnot haha so I didn't know if you would have to use different ones with the s54
maybe the camry solara with e153 has the same frame or distance. so the axles mght be the oem ones.
