The big question is: Under hi speed it will lock up meaning any object that comes into impact with that material will be hitting a hard surfacel. However during a wreck your bones will be hitting the back side of the material; does the mean your bones will be hitting a hard surface?

old news. theres video of it somewhere covering an iphone that they throw against the wall. they also put it in a hat or something. pretty cool though.
i would presume that it would protect whatever its covering like a shell, so yea if it were a body suit and you did a belly flop onto cement from a 4 story building, you still would sustain heavy internal injuries from stuff being smushed inside.
