I will try that tomorrow when I get a chance to work on the car again. Hopefully it's something simple. Does the throttle body have to be removed to take of the IACV? I don't have a new gasket handy, and need to get the car running ASAP.

What could other issues be? I didn't touch the TPS. It's still mounted in it's stock location, and you can see the marker smears from the factory. Doesn't appear to have been turned at all.

Could low coolant cause this issue?

Just looking for all the facts. What symtoms would a bad MAP cause? Car rev's great just won't idle without me keeping pressure on the throttle.
Another thing I forgot to mention. Car doesn't start without giving it gas.
I don't know if it's possible to wire a fuel pump backwards, but when i set the ignition to on it doesn not prime, but when i turn it off and pull the key I hear the fuel pump prime.
At this poinjt the car wont start at all. it turns over, but no spark or fuel. my eg main is clicking over, but the cor and the fuel pump relay are not clicking over. the issue is they aren't getting power. i had unplugged the factory alarm, but plugged it back in before attempting to start the car. i relocated the battery to the trunk, but like i said, the car is trying to start. what could cause this? what would keep power from the cor and the fuel pump relay?
my car wouldnt start because of a bad ground, but i dont think thats your issue, although id check them to be sure.

Starter works fine. Just no spark or fuel. I'm going to run a full diagnostic.

I will try to today. I gotta check again for vacuum leaks, install the wide band, finish the hot pipe, check the timing, and do an oil change.
I feel like I just got my license again for the first time! I've been trying to find any and every excuse to go on a drive. I love how this thing conducts itself. Lady in public, freak in the bedroom. Can't wait to up the boost!

Cheers!

Glad to hear she's running and lively Ben - can't wait to see her in action and in person. Maybe we can all trip to the beach this summer...

Really appreciate it man!
Got the exhaust nearly done! I'll post pics of the process in a bit. Sounds a lot better now than it did! It also pulls a lot harder. Budget stainless exhaust FTW!
^ The story hath become even cooler.

What was the final cost to have something like that fabbed? I'm about to venture down that road too... tongue.gif

It was just under 500 bucks. The local exhaust shop quoted me 800 even with me providing the muffler, resonator and flex section. So I would say I've done pretty good. Saved about 600 bucks, and its all stainless!

Here's some pics! Flanges from vibrant are soooo expensive. So i bought one, and then made the rest out of 3/16th stainless plate using the vibrant flange as a template. B-pipe BOUM!

BRILLIANT! That's seriously respectable work, both in looks and in being cheap and resourceful.

And just to help you guys out I use http://www.siliconeintakes.com/ for the bends that I can't source from the scrap yard. So far all I've used is three 45 degree bends for the b pipe.
