Taking out rear seats. Power steering, cruise control. Interior panels. Installing carbon fiber hood/hatch. Lightweight seats.

Remove the chassis. that's the heaviest thing you got! then the Engine if that's not enough...

That reminds me of the episode of Secret Squirrel where he races that chicken dude in the hot rod and they're trying to lose weight and the mole side kick starts taking everything off of the car during race... including the motor. LOL
