Thanks.

i replaced my st ignition wires with the vitec ones. just because i wanted the yellow ones and i thaught they would be bigger but i was wrong >mad.gif> ohh well they look better than stock thought. they even came with a sticker that said vitech so i took off the i and sold it to a pu$$y honda owner for 30 bucks and told him to put a type r sticker right next to it. i basically got the wires half off >tongue.gif>
yeah, change them. You can cause damage to the ignition system if the resitance in your wires gets too high. Given that the 5S-fe has a distributor, this risk is lower compared to distributorless, but it does affect cold start and performance. The degrading of the wires happens over time and use. I would change the wires every 100K or so because they are not that expensive.
Thanks guys! I'm gonna call Toyota right now.. >biggrin.gif>

Hope mine aren't too tight to pull out!:)
Oh, some advice on changing them:

only disconnect 1 wire at a time and install the replacement, that way you will not risk crossing wires.

you may want to look into some aftermarket ones as well.
Thanks. Good call. Where abouts in Ontario are you from?

Missisauga here:)
It's good to replace your wires every time you replace your spark plugs...
You can get NGK plugs and wires through clubplug.net for a pretty good price. I believe they are based out of Canada too.
