Both buttons do the same function, and sometime neither button will do anything and then i have to press them both to get it to move. Anyone know what could be wrong? Or has anyone had a similar problem and fixed it?
Issue with sunroof control - 6G Celicas Forums
could just be a bad sunroof switch. its really easy to take the head liner down and replace it if you want. obviously its not the motor because you say it does go back. more then likely its the sunroof switch. I have a spare one i could sell you, and i can give you a quick break down on how to replace it. I just replaced my whole sunroof a few days ago. took me about an hour and a half, so you should be able to change out the switch in no time.
send me a PM if you want the switch, i'll give it to you for 25 shipped

By sunroof switch you don't mean the buttons next to the interior light, right?
ok, thanks, i'm not going to worry about fixing it right now cause well, its getting cold outside and won't be using my sunroof till spring. Also i just spent 300 on the car for a new catalytic converter and a set of 4 studded snows.
I'm having a very similar problem with mine. Once I figure mine out I will let you guys know what I did to fix it with pics
