Rear strut brace on a coupe - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #75807 9 posts Started by SleekCelica
How can it be done? The bolts don't seem easily accesible for the top of the strut; and i was going to make my own like the front one.

1994 Celica GT, coupe, 5 speed.Front strut brace, cherrybomb glasspack, intake.
You don't need a rear strut brace because its already brace from the factory due to the design of the car..
you probably could manage to put one in there, but it won't really yeild much.
better to put the money into upgraded bushings/swaybars/springs/endlinks depending on what you have/don't have already

Alright, with that being said then, how do I get to the strut bolts?

Remove the black plastic trim and you should be able to access the upper strut bolts

If it were a hatch. For a coupe you have to remove that deck lid. Once its clear you can see where your strut mount bolts up to.

x2 back window put down the seats lift up that deck and its pretty easy to get to most of the bolts. there's one in the corner thats a bit of a PITA but not too bad
