On a routine oil chnage I was told my reverse lights do not work. Thinking it was both bulbs, I bought new ones, but that didn't do it. Any ideas?

eh who needs reverse lights 
... but anyway this happened to my friends car, and we couldnt figure it out, so i just ran wires up to a switch in the center console, and wired the bulbs to the switch, and it was able to pass inspection

mine come off and on whenever it feels like to.
if i wiggle the lever a lil bit while on reverse it will turn on and off.
if i wiggle the lever a lil bit while on reverse it will turn on and off.

haha mines doing the exact same, I pulled the switch out and put it back in and it suddenly decided to work one day, but some days it won't.
