My wheel is bent and I'd like to get a whole new set of rims but that's too much money right now, so I'm just going to get a single watching wheel. I have Drag DR19's and I want to know how I can figure out the offset. I know these particular wheels come in both 42 and 45 mm.

If its not stamped on the back of the wheel you can do some simple measuring to find out.

First measure the width of the wheel.

Then place the wheel face down on the ground. using a long straight edge place this on the back of the wheel across the middle, measure from the straight edge down to the flat surface that mates to the hub.

Next divide the width of the wheel by 2, this will give you the distance from the edge of the wheel to its centre line.

Then minus this measurement from the measurement you took using the straight edge.

Whatever number you are left with is the offset. (remember you have to do this in millimetres not inches)

EG. Wheel width 206mm (8") divide this by 2 = 103mm

The measurement from your straight edge to the hub face = 140mm

ie 140mm-103mm= 37mm

this makes the offset ET37

If the distance from the edge of the wheel to the hub face is greater than the distance to the centre line then its a positive offset. if not then its a negative offset
