Hood Pins - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #74481 5 posts Started by KAOS
I'm just wondering something about hood pins for my St205 hood.

I'm running a ST204 chassis, and as everyone knows, the RHD hood latch won't work in a LHD vehicle.

I know that I could get the LHD latch welded so that the latch/catch is longer... but I've also purchased hood pins (to avoid the dreaded 'hood flip up' nightmare)

What I want to know is; if I install hood pins, would I even need the latch?

Thanks guys.

it's all up to you, I've seen cars with pins only, and I've seen both, it's up to how confident you feel about remembering to always secure the pins.

kaos, do you have the bumper as well?

i would recommend use both

Nah - no bumper.

I'm assuming you mean the GT-Four bumper would reduce the wind/airflow to the front of the hood?

Either way, I'd still need to modify the latch; front bumper or not... ???
