You dont mean stiffer, you mean thicker. And the difference if its hollow or solid diameter bars.
Go for something along the lines of a whiteline 22mm hollow rear adjustable swaybar.

Having a crazy stiff car doesnt mean awesome handling. If you want play with bumpyness and ride comfort that from the shocks and springs. But swaybars will make your suspension and tyres perform better, making the car more responsive while delivering more grip. And reducing body roll, by increases the amount of force required to make the body roll.

yeah, I know!

but getting thicker bars means I can use softer suspension on the races, which is more the way I like..

320hp @ 6300rpm and 420Nm @ 3250rpm. yay!My ST205 WRC buildthread
ksports would be rough for backroad racing. but i am assuming the roads by you would be fairly nice so they could be an option.
go with a softer option i guess. i like stiff coils and my ksports have held up wonderfully

omg we have a road just like that were i live..awesome.

lol im not even gonna start thinking about if you come around one of those corners and someone else is actually driving on the road lol

my ground controls do fine as long as theirs no pot holes or other sh*t on a smooth road their amazing

and even tho a couple people on here track others still put just about the same stress driving on some roads..so you cant really rule that out

that road looks nice but isn't a smooth surface so ideally track coilies may be too hard as you could find your self skipping off the roads, maybe some thing a little more forgiving like some street coilies, poly bushes and some bigger ARBs would be better suited. as for the best street coilies things that have already been suggested like BC's, Teins or Megans read some reviews on them and decide which will be best suited for your needs
thanks for the help guys! smile.gif i decided to set up my car this way

I grew up driving on a road just like this one, had about 5 different cars before I moved away. 1979 subaru station wagon(pretty terrible) 1973 ford maverick 302v8(fast enough on the straight parts) 1976 Celica gt (good fun to toss around) 1988 VW Sirocco on coilovers(car handled like a roller coaster) 1984 Celica Supra(won every time with that car)... ah the good old days they were a blast =)

which rd in SD county?

God made man....Everything else...Made in China
It was in Riverside county, highway 74 it's about 55 miles from Hemet to Palm Springs, fun road as it's pretty smooth and the corners have deep banks. I lived in Idyllwild which was up in the mountains between the two.

Here is even better advice.

Install, 1 part at a time and go make a few runs. See how you like it, then install the next part. Do a few runs, see if it made it better or worse.

If you slap all that **** on a one time you have failed.

haha that's exactly what my buddy told me. smile.gif thanks for the advice to harold.
i agree. its best to compare the difference in handling of stock suspension vs the mods you're gonna put in.

Wait you live in orange county, like the OC? Where everyones filthy rich and loaded by their parents with supercars or hummers? Why do you have a celica then?

I have a similar setup

C-One 3pt strut
Cusco rear strut
Cusco 4pt lower arm brace
vincentdoggys trunk brace
BC coilovers
225/45/17 KU31's

Running 25/32 clicks front and 27/32 clicks rear. Not sure how low but yeh pretty fun atm. Just getting understeer maybe invest in a whiteline rear swaybar later.

yea i live in the OC haha. i dont see hummers around often. but i do see a lot of cars in the jdm import and hella flush scene on the daily. the most common cars youll see around are EGs, EKs, integras, RSXs, STIs, s2k and evos. theres a house in my neighborhood that actually has a rhd EJ, rsx, integra, and eg. i refer to it as the honda house. haha. i have a celica because my parents randomly picked it out for me and bought the car without me knowing. they just found it on autotrader. to be honest i actually wanted an EG or EK at first. i didnt like the 4 bug eyes on the celica at first. but the car grew on me and now i love it. LOL but im glad i got the celica.

Yes, but not all BC racing coils have 6/4 kg/mm sping rate. Other BC coilover applications have 8/6 kg/mm spring rate. Same as the MR spring rate which is 8/6 kg/mm.

God made man....Everything else...Made in China
you can choose your own spring rates for BC's within reason
i've seen a set of jic magic coilovers for the macphearson strut suspension up on nengun yahoo auctions for about $1000 about 6 months ago, used of course but those would be ideal. keep an eye on nengun auctions they have some rare stuff used for real cheap sometimes
