strut bar - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #74179 8 posts Started by stwin2
i was told that a dodge neon strut bar would work on a celica. is this true and would it clear a 5s.
It works, but you have to drill your own holes. Get the one with a full circle around the strut brace, the crescent shaped ones only bolt up to one stud because of where the Dodge studs are placed.
if you don't wanna drill into anything you could just get this one.

it'll fit perfectly and it clears the STs. I'm sure the GTs won't be that much difference either.

*1997 Celica ST - 3SGE Greytop BEAMS*1977 Celica RA29 - Classic Cruiser*2005 Matrix AWD - dedded but still hanging around like a ghost2019 Rav4 XLE Premium - Sports mode is fun.

does the ebay strut bar make a difference in terms of handling? i want to get one too but im a little skeptical of them.
well i think that it does. I haven't tried cornering super hard with it on but i have felt a difference from before. I think it performs a little better than the stock GT strut bar that connects to the firewall.

has anyone tried this on the GT?
I was thinking about making a custom made one but idk I'd have to talk to my cousin he's a 15 yr exp welder Im pretty sure it would be cheaper. Didn't sum1 here make sum custom ones?
It makes a difference. It stiffens the front quite a bit if you get a decent one and add suspension.
