Springs - 6G Celicas Forums

Hey i have been doing some reading and i cant decide on what springs to get. i have heard that dropzones and eibach are good ones but however i did find some trd ones and some tien ones. They are all around $200 so know its just deciding the brand. whats good whats bad? please some help here

it's really just up to you now. I've heard that all those do about the same kinda thing. I have TRD ones I'm waiting to put on. But alot of members have the eibachs.

make sure you replace ur struts along with ur springs too. Good luck.

its not just about brand at all, all of the springs (even the 2 types of Eibach) have different rates so are basically a different stiffness, Eibach Pro-kit are much stiffer then Tein, Tein basically do like they say on the box "dress up master" although they hardly do that as the drop is very minimal, Tein are actually softer at the rear then the standard Toyota parts.

You need to decide what you want the springs for (look, ability, price) then do some more research nearly all the info you need is on this site
ok well i am going for looks but i also want performance out of them so then eibach is what i should go with?
ok did some more research and the trd ones on here said that it does a great deal to performance so i am going to go with those. however on the sticky it says that the sprigs are like $260 i found them for $208 so i will put the link up here if anyone else is looking for these smile.gif

now on there it says for a 96 but i am assuming that that will work for my 95 please correct me if i am wrong smile.gif
Eibach Pro-Kit springs are the same as TRD springs. The TRD ones are just rebranded and more expensive.
I just put on Sportlines and im pretty satisfied with them. The car handles a lot better than before, but theyre pretty much the most expensive spring that isnt super rare (J-Sport etc..) or TRD.
Also, all springs fit from 89-99. If itll fit a 5th or 6th gen, itll work on your 95.

I have Sportline springs and am very happy with the handling. Paired with GR-2 struts, they don't infringe on daily drivability or ride comfort, at least not much. I actually wouldn't mind a stiffer ride. The difference from stock is huuuuuuuuuuuuge as far as handling goes.

My only dislike is that the front is a bit higher than the rear, but I think this might be less of an issue if you have a GT with the heavier 5S-FE. All in all, I'm considering upgrading to Tanabe DF210 springs if the spring rate is the same, seeing as the drop 2.4" F / 1.5" R, versus 1.5" all around for Sportline springs. Should give me the same stance in the back, but lower in the front. biggrin.gif

aww man i ordered the trd one last night i didnt see yours for sale in the forums haha well hoping im happy with them i mean they were the same price as the eibachs so i kinda wanted the trd name not goint to lie haha

^ thats what i noticed about Teins. Ive had TRDs and Intrax - no issues.

LOL and I have ^ his TRDs on my car, and I gotta say, I've been VERY happy with them for both performance and ride comfort. And I'm on 17" wheels, which makes for a bit of a bumpier ride for lack of sidewall tongue.gif I'd TOTALLY buy the TRD ones again if I had to.
Im glad you still like them Michelle, i know they were great springs.

Really? Cause I dont have that problem, but I dont even have a full year on them...how long you've been riding the teins?
Hey guys, is it totally necessary to change the struts if I change the springs?
