new 6GC rider =D - 6G Celicas Forums

His name is Oswald, and he is a Ball Python. I just purchased him yesterday (=...he's from a 2010 clutch, and for those who dont know what a clutch is, ( i didnt know until yesterday) a clutch is a litter of snake eggs basically. He's bad ass and loves to chill on the rear view of the silver celi while we cruise town.

snakes creep me out. they look so badass, but i dont think i have the courage to hold one like that.

People are gonna start wrecking around u hahaha. Sad that it's legal to have a ****ing python in or on( or around 0_0 ) your car but u can't have neon windshield washers rolleyes.gif

I love reptiles, i use to own some chameleons and they where bad ass. Watching them feed has got to be one of the coolest thing you can see a pet do.

But on the side note, pythons are just not my taste. I hear too many horror stories of them escaping down the sewers and eating the neighbors pet.

what a coincidence... i just got a ball python from a 2010 clutch about 3 weeks ago

my gf thinks its the coolest thing in the world, shes the one holding it in the picture

I could not sleep in a room with a snake...i have a foot and half long bearded dragon,but there is no way he can get out..snakes are f*ckin crafty,they managed to get on the same plane as Samuel L Jackson!!!

I do sincerely hope that both of you are responsible snake owners and will never do something stupid like release them in the wild. Here in florida we have an epidemic, an invasion of african and burmese pythons running loose and thriving and reproducing. Some are already 20+ feet long. They destroy local ecology because species here have no natural defenses against this predator.

My ex used to own a ball python. Once it got to 6 feet she did not know what do to with it. Please plan accordingly and start saving for larger cages/tanks way in advance.

Awesome!!

remember to feed him in the bathtub or something. Not in his cage. That way he'll never attack you when you pick him up out of his cage.

I concur. My ex used to have 2 separate areas. 55 gal fishhtank for when he just crawls around and a 55 gal plastic tote where he fed. She used to buy live mice but have not had the heart to feed the snake. I had the pleasure of having to deal with a frantic mouse anticipating its final minutes. Was nothing to brag about. Just lots of scrambling and squealing and then it was all quiet.

she is fed in the paper bags that the mice come in... not exactly my first choice, but the reptile store feeds all of their snakes like that so she refused to eat when i placed her in her separate feeding tank. but im slowly introducing her to it. you have to remember, its just a ball python, and as long as you arent dangling your pinky finger in front of it on feeding day, the chances that it will ever strike at you is about as close to you winning the lotery

My ****ing bearded dragon bit me today,felt like i got my finger snapped on by a closing spring frown.gif...Little bastard...All i did was slap him around a bit,hes not like a cat 0_0

yeah thats what everyone has been tellin me...we fed him last night, we just left him in a box with the mouse for a bit and came back and it was all gone...lol...

yah how did you guess? i gave LLLreptile in Oceanside my iguana years ago when it got too big for me to care for, and one of my good friends works at the one in escondido which is where i picked up the ball python. its a great store and their reptiles are some of the best ive seen.

im into inverts before particularly scorps and tarantulas. i check they're site quite often. see whats new in their inventory.

I just knew she must open her mouth wide after feeding (it's common thing) so I was just waiting after each feeding till she finally turned head toward my camera smile.gif
