Hey everyone! I’ve been researching the forum trying to find an answer to this question with no luck.
I have a 1994 Celi GT with quite a substantial amount of stereo equipment in the hatch. Over time this excess weight has caused my suspension to sag and now my rear suspension is shot.
I estimate that the added weight of the equipment is about 300 lbs.
Does anyone know of a company that makes springs that can upgrade my carrying capacity in the rear?
I am not looking to lower my car as I live in Idaho and the roads are not made for low cars!

You've got a bit of a conundrum there as I don't think those really exist. Lowering springs are stiffer and therefore wouldn't sag (at least not as much), but the problem is that lowering springs...well...they lower.

Tanabe makes springs that offer around a .5" drop, but I'm not sure if they're much stiffer than stock.

ST205 springs have higher spring rates (especially in the rear) compared to ST & GTs, and are a direct swap. I'm pretty sure ST185 and ST165 springs will fit too, but i've never tried it. you'll also need more aggressive dampers to compliment the springs.

Stock ST205 rear springs are about 2.8 kg/mm compared to 2.3 kg/mm for stock ST & GT. (a 22% increase in stiffness)

but if you get lowering springs, you get higher spring rates:
>>Tein ST202 S-Tech Springs // Front: 3.9kg/mm Rear: 2.2kg/mm
Tein ST205 S-Tech Springs // Front: 4.3kg/mm Rear: 3.7kg/mm (10% Stiffer Front and 68% Stiffer Rear)

ST202 TRD Spring Rate // Front: 4.1kg/mm Rear: 2.9kg/mm
ST205 TRD Spring Rate // Front: 4.4kg/mm Rear: 3.87kg/mm (7% Stiffer Front and 33% Stiffer Rear)>>

coilovers will get you the best stiffness and get around 5 or 6 kg/mm in the rear.
