Just recently, I learned the my O2 sensor is not functioning properly so I took out the connecting plug from the sensor to make the car run better than a damaged O2 sensor. From what I understand, with a disconnected plug from the O2 sensor, the ECU will use a default A/F ratio accross the entire RPM.

What if I maintained a disconnected O2 sensor and adjust the A/F ratio on a dyno, would this be better than reconnecting the plug with a brand new O2 sensor?
