i had mine replaced with a rebuilt one. i've put ~16k already. had a shop to do it. no issues so far.
why are you rebuilding it anyway? internal leak issues?

head gasket blew and it really needed it. Gettin a reman for 300 here in ft worth texas.
just have a shop check it for straightness. if its good, just reuse it. do a quick and dirty valve job, and by that i mean just lap the seats. new stem gaskets, and rock and roll.

I might try that but for just a little more I can it done right. thats what I was thinkin. It has 150 000 on it also.
