hey 6gc i have a st165 with a 185 motor but the body is rusting out bad...im stuck between repairing the rust or just selling it and buying a fwd celica and maybe turbo that...i dont mind the st165 look but the 185 and 205's are just more appeling lol help would be greatly appreciated!

idk... depends on how bad the rust is. and seeing you're from Madison i'm sure it's bad. really depends on you I guess. As much as I would love to own a 185, they are rare as **** and the ones i find in WI are like yours all rusted out. If you do repair the rust, it'll cost alot too. if you are planning to strip it and sandblast or whatever and then cut and weld and repaint, start saving up, i'm currently restoring a ra24 and its slow going. if the engine is still good, find a good body to transfer it too.

Its a 165 and the rust is bad on the rear left quarter but the car has other issues as well...how does a piggyback and the stock ecu from a 5sfe I also want something that is diagnoseable so I can track problems instead of guessing...goals wise would 270 hp at the most I'm willing to do everything right with out cheaping out..thanks!
