Hell yeah! it was a very productive saturday.
These are preassembled 12V LED's from oznium.com (essentially just standard 5mm LED's with the resistor already soldered on and heatshrunk) White of course
as I am in the process of changing all my interior lights to white. ALready got the climate control led's changed...they were hella bright though (like blinding) so I put a big blob of white paint on the end of all the diodes and it toned them down quite a bit...looks ballin...anyways that's another thread entirely.
Right then....on with the show, I literally had 8 different projects on the go today involving multiple vehicles, my air compressor, light fixtures....and a weed whacker (couldn't get the bloody engine to run properly though so I set it aside for another day)
First some careful pondering and planning:

Then a couple precision drilled holes:

The idea is the LED is attached to the frame/handle assembly itself. As the bezel needs to come on and off it just has a small hole which the head sticks out of when installed:

Nice little glob of silicone and a ty-wrap to hold everything in place:

And here we are wired in to the door lights:

And finally assembled:

sweet, I'm diggin it.
You'll probably be seeing a few more of these from me as I can't actually legally drive the car yet...she just sits in the garage, patiently waiting, while I wash and polish and modify and tweak
.....just waiting for some paper pusher to get off his ass and do some actual work for a change
