My friend knows nothing about cars ( not that I know everything but I know more than the average person) he said he's getting a Mazda 3 S wich according to him has a turbo knowing that I knew that the only Mazda 3 with the turbo is a mazdaspeed and the S in question was a seadan wich I know that all Speeds are hatchback, When I brought up this he changed his story said his dad told him and he dosent know all the facts, so Im like ya right. Not only did he get the facts wrong he dised the 6GC I know my Celica is no ricer rocket but I think its quick of the line and not bad he was like it can smoke a GT mustang and my car. My dad had a Mazda 3 and it was quick but not by any means able to beat a GT and my other friend was like of course the 3 can smoke a Celica and Im like you havent even seen my car and you being a doumb red neck who thinks a V8 can beat a skyline ya you know your imports. Just annoys me people dising the Celica

alright. no the 3s doesnt have a turbo and neither does the 6. my gf has a 06 mazda 6 nd yea they arent rly quick but they can move. ill get her off the line but shell take me in the long run. idk how the 3 performs in comparison to the 6 but the 6 isnt slow but itsnt super fast

Not all mazdaspeeds are hatches. The speed6 is a sedan

On another note the mazda speed 3 is NOT faster than the new mustang GT

On ANOTHER note lol.... a 6gc GT is about as fast as a mazda 6 (not sure about new model if they upped the HP)

All Speed3s are hatches, that's what he's referring too. The 3S is about 148hp 135tq @ 2700lbs, its comparable to the 6GC.

The 6 has either a V6 or 2.3L 4cyl, 220 or 160hp respectively. However, it's pretty heavy. A Speed3 or 6 would, however, blow your doors off.

Mazdaspeed3S... those are the really HAPPY looking cars right?

FWIW, I hate all that talk concerning what car can beat what...it's all pretty much irrelevant to me. I care about the drive, and that's unique to the car, not what the car can't do.

Giving you the benefit of the doubt, the slowest 300Z that I have found was this
1987 Nissan 300ZX 2+2 8.8 (0-60) 16.5 (1/4 mile)
with the exception of the '85 and '87, the 300Z's next worst performance was this
1989 Nissan 300ZX 7.1 (0-60) 15.5 (1/4 mile)
The eclipse put down similar numbers as well.
The Prelude however, was just as slow as the Celica GT... IN 1991. After that, it gets down into the low 15's like the eclipse.
1994 Toyota Celica GT 8.4 (0-60) 16.4 (1/4 mile) I couldn't find a stock celica ST time.
Is it possible? Absolutely. is it likely? Doubtful
