Ok I need a working link to the pictures and such of how to swap an mr2 s54 to a celica s54. IE how to swap the shift linkage. Someone has got it.

just get the parts and swap them. you need the cap for the other side and the selector shaft. why are you doing this swap. is your tranny dead? you can use all the parts from your old tranny

easier to just get a manual tranny from a camry or celica.

Uh it took me like 2 years to find this one locally. The s54 is super rare here in Charlotte.

Piro I told ya I was looking for the parts a while back. Yeah any help would be of help. I think I am going to pull a part on north tryon on friday if I get off work early. I just need to find this crap.

only thing is if its out of a mr2, its an s53 not an s54.
weaker syncros.

Uh I dunno from everything I have read other then your past posts pressure, the mr2 here in the states got the s54. Which makes sense. Also there are a few s54's from japan that have the manual sensor with electrical adapter like i think this one had.

i would think the either in 94 or 95 the mr2 got the s54.
all the earlier ones that have the mechanical speedo sensor are the s53.

New question. I have poly inserts in the torsional mounts in my car. Will I need to swap to manual mounts or can I use the Auto since I have the poly?
