Found a very cool webpage set up by a guy in NZ who owned one of the 5 group A GT4's sold new in NZ:

The owner provides a great and at times amusing narrative about how he restored the car, and there's a nice link that provides a short history of WRC GT4's in NZ, all 5 of them and they cost 96,000 grand new!!!

I saw the Silver one here in Auckland at a gas station, His plate is WRC GT4. I introduced myself to him, he's a middle aged man, 2nd NZ owner, Had it for 14 years or so.

I owned two of them at the same time

red- I still own, originally bought by my mates father for his 21 birthday ( 243kw at all four )

red- sold it to another guy

sliver- owned by middle aged guy, my mates father bought this one for himself

white - in auckland - beaten up

blue- crashed an rebuilt by Richard

i saw the red one a year or two ago somewhere in east auckland, back before i had my gt4... thought it was bizarre that it had a group a rallye badge at the back until i found this information.. didn't stop to chat as i only had an ss3 at that stage.

White one ended up at pick a part a few months ago, was stripped and then squashed I was looking for a WRC as well........

On the upside three weeks ago I got my hands on an imported WRC for just $4500 NZ dollars! Its an ugly green but after a full repaint in black and tidy up I cant wait to have it as my daily drive

It was on TradeMe and the seller was local to me on the North Shore. Has done 190k but is in very tidy condition besides paint work Engine and gearbox are top notch only the super-strut that needs new lower arms and banana arms which I have a spare set of anyway.
