Ive been thinking about it for a while, and what we lack that alot of other enthusiast sites have is one BIG meet a year. The biggest we do is pigeon forge, and i havent heard of anything as far as a pigeon forge 04 b/c some of the main people that put that event on are having car trouble. If we were able to set something up like a track day at a local road course and an autocross day how many people would be willing to drive to the event? The best place i can think of is Right here in MI becuase right down the road from my house is a decent road racing course, and there are plenty of places around they hold autocrosses. I could also look into a day at one of the drag strips as well. Then of course a meet and greet kind of thing and Dinner and cruising down on woodward ave. at night. The #1 problem i see with the idea is money, and the willingness of people to drive to get there. I am willing to set this up for 6gc members. but im not going to do it if we dont get enough intrest and enough people wanting to go. If i get a large enough response from this i will start calling around and getting some prices and dates for tracks and stuff. If you guys wanted to go, but didnt want to put up the money for going to a track, im sure we could work something out for a weekend like autocross and cruise night kind of thing. This would be setup for sometime next summer, i want to give myself enough time to do this right and make it a kickass event.

I would be semi-interested. I wish I could have made it to the pigeon forge meet. That is like in my back yard.

we have to have like 3 meets in diffrent regions.. also the meet in each region depends on who will go.. we cant have everyone saying that they want to have the meet up the street from them.. i dont wanna travel more then 2-3 states. >>

im pretty willing to travel. i want to go to the MA2004 mid-atlantic MR2/alltrac meet next spring, and i would really like to go to SW2004 if they hold it in los vegas again, but i need to get alot more done to the car if i go to that one.

Oh my dear Tim, You see now that Im back the Pigeon Forge meet will happen. Even If I did have a different car I would still have it cause its a blast. Plus its a little early to start advertising for it anyway. As John said it will be about the same time as it was last year. Now PlanetFuzz, I know that once I get the car all fixed up Im going to be heading out your way to go run the dragon's tail with some other celica guys and my just have a small meet when we do it. I will Post up something about it when the time comes. But as to a big meet, there was talk about one on c.net a year or so ago, but the concensious came down to was that it had to be in a central location for everybody. Tim I know that you will try and make it down here this time for the meet. Expect to here some more info about PF 04 some time after the new year.

well i would have went last year but it happened the last week of highschool, AKA finals week. so there was no way in hell i could go last year.

when and where is pidgeon force ? I'm in southwest WI and may be down for a road trip.

we met up at the governor's mansion....its like this giant outlet mall type place right in the middle of pigeon forge

there was a pretty good turnout (even though i had to leave early) there was like 13

Well its not just a 6gc meet. Its an all celica meet as you can see that we had 2 ST185's, and 1 other 5th gen, and a 7th show up. I think if I remeber it was about 13 cars total. PF is in the smoky mountains of TN. Its a really preaty place to go. Plus its close to the Dragons Tail which is a 13 mile road with 300+ turns in it, which make for a fun drive. But I will post up more info on the meet when the new year starts up.
