i believe that if a driver jumps on a different layout from whatever he's currently using i.e. ff, fr, mr, awd and races with it, im sure the driver is aware that every platform has different handling/characteristics.
i wouldnt say throttle off/on in a ff cornering is a poor technique rather its one technique used in conering ff cars
