Hi guys, can anyone explain me about the difference between h1, h2, h3 h4 hid kits?

I know I should use a 9006 socket and 55w but the h1 stuff in the description is a mistery to me.

Also, I don't decide between 6k and 8k. What do you guys think?

h1 h2 h3 h4 are all different bulb sizes. i personally would go with and 8000k over 6000k but its all a personal choice. 8000k will give you more of a blue tinge to the light, where as 6000k will be more like a bright white

cool, but what size of bulb should i get?? is there any standard for the 6g or any bulb fits the celica? I'm using stock headlights

Yes, the standard low-beam headlight bulb for 94-99 Celica is 9006. Don't buy any other for you low-beam headlights cause they won't fit.

Go to Google and type up Sylvania Bulb Guide and go to the first link that says Osram Sylvania-Replacement Guide-Start.

Type up the information of the Vehicle, Year, and Model and it will give you the entire list of light bulb sizes for the entire car. I would go with 8,000K because it has more color but if you want something a tad bit brigher, then go with the 6,000K.

You should wait and buy the JDM Projector lowbeam headlights and put your HID kit in there - otherwise you'll just be scattering light all over the place and blinding all of the cars around you.

Buy a set of Sylvania Silverstars and save your money.

standard is actualy 35W 9006 for the Low beam and 55W 9005 for the Hi-beam.

If you use 55w for the Low's they wont last as long bro, and frankly aren't any brighter

i have the 35 watt 8000k hids in my car, i love them and i drove behind some of my friends the other day and they said the light really didnt bother them, just my .02

Sylverstar's are garbage, save your money and don't buy them, just get the hids and make sure they are aimed properly.

They refer to the style of bulb or connector they come with. Meaning a car that takes a h1 bulb would not need a h4 bulb as the housing or connector might be different. In another way every bulb in a category will have a different size glass bulb and its focal point and filament will be different or designed to a specific spec for that headlight reflector.

As for 6k vs 8k. Those will both be blue... the 8k more purple. You can look every where online and get a color chart that shows that 6k is pure white and another listing it as deep plasma blue. Truth is that O.E.M. H.I.D. bulbs "D2S" are rated at 4300kelvin and are very brilliant white and color shift "change color as they get older" Blue tint does NOT help you. It hurts you. I will be doing a write up with in the next week or two on a retrofit with true projectors.

You mention 9006 bulbs... thats your low beam right? I gotta look at the posting rules first but I strongly suggest you look for Philips Xtreme Power 9006 HB4 bulbs. I have a link to a reliable and CHEAP store... I am confident those low beams will illuminate the road way better for you than the 35watt hid kit. these will plug into your stock harness and not require anything but plug and play. I think these low beams will be a huge upgrade over even your high beams!

actually 8000k will give you a light blue tint at night with regular headlights. 8000k will be white with projectors. these are both at night. 6000k although it is advertised as white, never seen it truely white in either types of headlights, they look more off-white.

With the kits that I sell, 4300k is true white (more OEM-looking HIDs white as opposed to OEM halogen yellowish-white, good for people worried about their aftermarket HIDs being illegal and getting pulled over for it); 6000k is bright white with a tinge of blue (definitely not off-white) and 8000k is blue. 10000k is purple and 12000k is pink.

Hey thanks guys. Thanks a lot for the advices. I think I will check the phillips bulbs until I get the projectors (maybe not jdm cause it will be like 1k bucks with shipping + taxes to my country).

its weird Ive tried many many bulbs different brands they still come out the same for me and ive had both types of headlights regular and projectors. Same goes with my friends, they have different cars and different bulbs and the results are the same. if you have a 6000k they look white when you first turn them on and then after it warms up it tends to offwhite but it does look white if you have nothing else to compare to. Next to 8000k they look off white. None of us here run the 6000k no more because of this difference. IDK its up to you guys to find the preference, when I buy stuff, i buy a whole lot of different types to test and find out what suits me the best even if I waste money.
