Topic #71430 33 posts Started by 99GT
My buddy offered to sell me his 7th gen celica.

No rust, MR-S motor with low miles for $4500.

Should I buy it? I'm leaning towards it... lol.

Comes with everything plus all the stock parts. Donutes with winter tires. I have to drive this car in MN winter lol.

Gonna sell the motors I have laying around to get it.

Clean, I'd say go for it. 4500 is pretty cheap.

24,000-25,000 miles
MWR rod bearings
toga oil pump
That is hell of cheap. I was looking for over a year for something like that but instead ended up with a 6th gen. That bodykit doesn't look bad either I usually hate them.
Nice looking car. Id buy it in a heart beat.

7GCs actually look good when done right...such as this. If you have the cash available, I'd pick it up.

looks like a really good deal. Wish I could have found something like this when I was looking.

Go for it!

Trial kits are sick!!! Looks like Gozigen FNO1R-c rims

I don't normally drive fast, but when I do its on a curvy section of this island
GET IT! Do it! Do it!

Alright. I will get it. I'll post pics when I get it.
The flushness of those wheels is perfect by the way...and I don't mind the kit either. 7GCs take well to kits though, since they already have a factory scoop, etc.

Still keeping the 6GC right?

Yeah that 7GC looks perfect!! I'd say go for it. thumbsup.gif
looks good. i'd prefer a gts, non the less it looks clean. what the rev set at on the gt? i know the 200 gts celicas are at 8400, by 2005 they drop to like 7400. nice catch!

when he says mrs, he is referring to the mr2 spyder? same engine as in the corolla...

MR-S spyder. 1ZZ is shared between a few cars. Corolla, Celica, and MR-S, but probably more.

Joe, update!!! Finally you are coming back to the Toyota family. Stay away from them Hondas.

My 99 gt was total feb 09 from an elder lady running a red light.

Been driving a eg hatch with 200,000k for a year now getting tired of it.

Currently driving a 97 honda accord with 250,000K.

Now just looking for something newer.

My buddy actually posted his car forsale on craigslist for awhile with a lot of tire kickers.

We are still talking about it now. When I told him I was ready to buy, he upped the price to $5000, or $4500 with my eg hatch.

That means my hatch is worth $500 lol.

KBB puts the car at $5000 for excellent with 109,000 on the body.

He just spent $1300 on the kit alone minus shipping, and paint. He spent $1000 on his zigens and yoko tires last year. $1800 on the mr-s motor 2 years ago.

I still have a lot of parts from my celica, and 5sfte setup... lol
He won't sell it no more. I regret telling him to not sell it, and pointing out those things... damn it.
Well Joe, if you want to sell any of your turbo parts let me know. I need a boost gauge.
