i was drivin home the other night and my celi shut off mid cruise and wouldnt turn back on - the battery still worked. got it to a garage and the mechanic is saying my wiring harness is fried and its not worth repairing.

i was wondering what you guys had to say? opinions / solutions

could of just been a fuse too... alt current got to high... or yea, u melted the harness lol.

option 1, new engine including harness
option 2, replace harness with jyard harness
option 3, luck out and find out it wasn't the harness

Just call up a junkyard. i just got a new engine, and called the junkyard; got a 7afe harness for $50, and it was easy
dontget rid of the celi!

you have a good mechanic. Your harness is most likely the culprit. i am fixing a car with the same situation right now.

thanks for the replies. i guess im just gonna store it until i get some proper resources and use it as a learner. i'll have some paper when i get out of basic lol
