Valve lift figures for 3s-ge (3gen) intake camshaft??? - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #70256 6 posts Started by lobe
Hey all,

Does anybody knows the valve lift, mm - of the intake camshaft for JDM 3S-GE (3rd gen, from 93 to 12.97)???
It's part-number is 13501-88460, it's non-vvt-i

Also will be grateful, if someone also knows the valve lift value for:
a) 13501-88560 intake camshaft, was used on JDM 3S-GE after 12.97 (non-vvt-i)
b) 13501-79016 intake camshaft, was used on JDM 3S-GE of MR-2 from 1989 to 1991
c) 13501-74041 intake camshaft, was used on JDM 3S-GE of MR-2 from 1991

Thanks!
Don't know what gen 3S are in B & C but A, I have the valve clearance, dont know if thats what you want?

Valve clearance (Cold):
Intake:
0.15 - 0.25mm (0.006 - 0.010 in.)
Exhaust:
0.28 - 0.38mm (0.011 - 0.015 in.)

Rusty,

Thnx kindasad.gif

That's not the issue we wanted to know... frown.gif

We need valve LIFT, not CLEARANCE...

Anyone knows?
oh sorry just you had that part number reference, threw me off...
BEAMS is Cam lift (IN/EX) - 10.5mm/9.2mm
3gen 3S-GE
3. gen 3SGE A/T
In: 240deg, 8.7mm lift
Ex: 240deg, 8.2mm lift

3.gen 3SGE M/T
In: 252deg, 9.8mm lift
Ex: 240deg, 8.2mm lift

The 3S-G heads lift is limited to 10.5mm by the springs after that they become coil bound. Intake flow drops off at about 13mm.
