Googled images of the SS-III after I bought the car, and a picture from 6gc.net came up of blackend headlights. Just wondering where these can be sourced, because I think they'd look sweet on my white Celica
Blackend Headlights - 6G Celicas Forums
They cannot be. What you might have seen are headlight covers, which are no longer available. The covers make the lights look slightly darker.

Sorry don't know why photo doesn't load up, but theres the link:D
Like this?

Or like this?

Edit: Okay, the lights in the first picture. Those are just standard JDM projectors. They aren't blackened, that is just how the photo makes them look. That's not to say you can't open them up and spray the chrome shroud black..

haha thanks
those are my projector lights I bought they're JDM late facelift. Its just the angle which is making them look like that, however I know when you say tinted ones, there was a guy on here awhile ago (Ryme??) who pulled my ones apart and tinted them.

they were probably just sprayed with that smoke paint that people buy for tail lights. I personally don't think I would smoke out my headlights because it would destroy your ability to see the road at night...
It would destroy your visibility if you sprayed the whole lense, but if you only spray the leading edges of the projector, the actually bit the light bounces off should not be affected u know. no?
After some searching I found this thread, not the thread I really wanted, but might help you?
