car won't start - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #69925 4 posts Started by lazy
the last few days my car starts to work for a few feet the when i shift gear the car dies
when i turn the key the ingnition trys to fire up but something electrical dosen't let it
a friend of mine told me that it's probably the car alarm(it's stock 94 celica)
can anyone tell me how to deactivate it
An alarm with starter kill just breaks the circuit to the starter. If it was an alarm problem, even if you armed it while running and it broke the circuit to the starter, it would still stay running. Either way, if you remote unlock the doors on any vic with an alarm on it, it will disarm the starter kill. You're more than likely looking at an alternator/battery issue.
That's what i thought thank you
If the car has the OEM alarm it doesn't have engine kill anyway! If the battery has a bad cell it will act this way, also a bad ignitor will do it!
