Nice buy! Those wheels will look good on it, if they fit.

>I talked to them yesterday and they said it was not a wrc. But it sure dose look like one.

you talked to who? and what car are you talking about?

Always nice to meet someone who knows more than you about your own car lol

is he saying mine isn't a wrc? I'm confused.

I can understand how someone could easily put on the hood vent and riser blocks to make it look like one but what would be the purpose of putting in a non-functional anti-lag pot and the different heat shield under the hood?

Well I did know what suspension he had and he did not. I also inspected this car and drove it a few times.

I talked to Izzat, if you bought the one with 168XXXkms right? If so then I am referring to your car.

I was in the market for a ST205 and I looked at this car for a couple of weeks drove it a few times great car just was not for me. I never saw anything that said that it was a WRC. They brought in a red one and bought it. After reading this post I talked to them and asked them if it was a WRC and they told me "no". either the did not know it was WRC or it is not. If they did not know it was a WRC then you got a smokin deal, most I see go for around 10-13k Isn't there a way to know from the Vin#? And by the way in no way am I putting your car down, it is a Mint Celica, the ks were a little high for me and I wanted a red one.

ok fair enough tongue.gif ....I thought his name was izzap......I've been calling him Izzap since the beginning Ha. From the limited research I've done (and someone please correct me if I'm wrong) it doesn't say wrc anywhere on it, the wrc has the different heat shield, the anti-lag components, the water sprayer setup, and the hood spoiler and riser blocks, now I'm not saying that someone couldn't easily have added the riser blocks and hood spoiler but the other components all appear to be in place. Like I say I haven't looked underneath much since I got it but I have been cleaning the engine bay and trying to get a feel for what is going on in there for the last couple weeks (I have to do something cuz I certainly can't drive it yet)

i envy you. that thing is CLEAN. the engine bay looks practically new. congratulations on your buy =)

well it definitely looks like a WRC, what is the frame number? most wrc's are under 2500 (eg ST205-000XXXX) but not always.

the salesman was mistaken....it is definitely the wrc, it has the water sprayers on the bumper as well as the anti-lag pot and piping under the manifold

I believe if there is hood spoiler than it might be. W/O it is not. Hood spoiler is one of signs of WRC edition models.

Hood spoiler was part of the face lift, even my 1.8i SR limited edition has it wink.gif
Water sprayers on front bumper to wash headlights also present on mine
Damn, diggin stuff up from almost 8 years ago..
