just wanted to put this out there for anyone that is looking to get some sparco stuff. this is a great chance to get some of their products at a great discount. i talked to my contact there and he's super excited about the garage sale and he was telling me that they got a huge amount of stuff to closeout from the sparco italy office as well as the stuff they have at their irvine offices.

when he first mentioned it to me a little over a couple months ago, he wanted to be sure that he had enough stuff to make it worth people's while to come out. they didn't have a garage sale last year for that reason because they didn't want people to feel let down that there wasn't much to choose from. it sounds like there will be no problem getting a selection. i totally agree with that from a customer's point of view, as i would be pissed if i waited in line for a couple hours just to get in there and not find anything i wanted/could afford.

as an example, he told me that they got 300 seats in for the sale, so that should be an indication of how much will be there. even though i deal with them semi regularly, i will still be going.

will they have seats brackets for our cars? if so how much

they might have the brackets in stock, but i'm not sure. the seat brackets are around $100 each.

great sale, crazy prices on stuff. $350 for a sparco corsa seat that retails about $750, race shoes for $35, race gloves for $20-$40, steering wheels for under $100. saw lots of people getting suits, but since i already have one i didn't see how much they were. a friend of mine got about $2500 worth of stuff for $1200 (2 seats, shoes, suit, gloves, seat brackets at full price, and some other stuff). i only spent $80 on random stuff, but the sparco version of the mechanics gloves were only $5 a pack, so i got 4 packs and i'm considering going to pick up more.

highly recommend going since not a huge amount of people showed and there is lots, and i mean lots of stuff in there.

yes very good sale! 50-60% off everything. Only thing that was 20% off was rails and mounts for the seats, but otherwise it was great. didnt buy anything, but i will next year!

i'm surprised you didn't pick up some of their mechanics gloves. $5 a pair was just too good of a deal to pass up (i bought 4 pairs and might see if they have some left over). got a couple new shirts and a hat. kinda kicking myself for not actually looking at the reclineable seats as a guy i know got some nice ones for $100 each. i was too busy looking at the competition seats. i wanted some of the shoes, but was hard to find my size. wish i had more money today.

really what gloves for $5??? like mecanic gloves to work on the celica??? the $100 seats were entry level seats. The sales rep told me they are the lowest of the low street series reclinable seats. Im guessing the model is called R100. they are retailed on the website for $290. Im really plan on buying a set of seats with rails and sliders next year.

The guy told me a set of those $100 with everything needed to install would have been around $500. thats pretty darn cheap.

personally after seeing the seat bases, as much as i want to support sparco after helping me out with other purchases, i am pretty sure i could make my own seat bases and side mounts. i keep tossing back and forth between getting sparco seats and some of the buddy club seats. i want the competition style seats, and i really want the buddy club ones, but the buddy club seats are not yet fia rated. some weeks i feel like getting the celica ready for stage rally, then others i just keep thinking of using it only as a rallyx car. if i stay rallyx, then i'll go with the buddy club seats unless i get a screamin deal at sparco.
