My first Celica had this same setup (KYB GR2/ GC coilover), and I liked how it rode. I set the coils to maybe a 1.5" drop. About 6 months after I installed them the shocks started crapping out. GR2's are OEM replacement shocks, so they're not meant to take much more than a stock spring, or a mild drop (which is why they're good for s-techs).

The other problem is since this is a coil&sleeve kit instead of a full coilover set you will get popping noises from the springs as you turn the wheel- because they have nothing to seat in on the struts, and aren't tall enough to fill the same space a traditional lowering spring does.

I would only recommend the Ground Control coilovers if you're going to buy Koni shocks, because any less and you're simply waisting your money.

When I get home I will post some pictures of my Celica with this setup.

thanks for the info, my only concern is that most of the shocks and coil over are for ST205 and those have the super strut thing, and my is AT200 don't know if in a long term could give me some problems.

bottom line is better to swap to full kit coil over/shock instead of buying one type of coil over and a different type for shocks

Right after I installed them + 17" Rays

After everything settled + 15" 7th gen GT wheels

If you're going to get Koni's you might as well save the couple hundred dollars extra to buy a full coilover set. Ksports and Megan coilovers are around $900.

thanks for the pics, those can give an overall picture about this thing, I'll consider the full coil over/shock kit from Ksports....

before I decide I'll check with an Italian guy who makes racing shocks here in CR, depending of the price and specs I'll chose either of two,

but thanks for the info
