ok the_argon has managed to hook me and him up with some TRD quickshifter kits, and in the process pointed me here -> http://chtoyota.com.au/

They are a dealer in NSW that stocks/orders TRD parts PLUS after enquiring the other night, they have confirmed they can get JDM parts as well.

like he said though, these are in austrailian

what does it convert to in us dollars?

I'm to lazy to look for a converter

jay goto www.converter.com I'm not going to convert it all for you just because you are too lazy (there are other people for that).

Yer they are way expensive (for non Australians, $AU 900 is about two weeks pay!!), and for some reason the high beams are cheaper than the lows (seems to be the opposite in US right?)

I'm thinking I might pick up a couple of tails ...
I know there all over the country it's just the more populated areas as Sydney and Melbourne mentioned is where to find a few really goods machanics to work on cars such as a 300ZX, imports.

DON'T GO TO PERTH!!!
Yeah, South Australia, and Adelaide are pretty laid back. Not as busy as Melbourne or Sydney but I like it here, a bit out of the way, but leading the nation it IT.

Adelaide will have the first wireless roaming network to cover the enitre CBD (1sq mile.) They are just building it now. it's great to sit in a cafe on rundle st with a powerbook and surf the net on a 11Mbps connection >smile.gif>

Adelaide is usually green all year round, nice climate, the CBD is sorrounded by parklands.

I think the population is around 2 - 2.5 million ppl

But I would reccommend going to all of the major cities Adelaide, Brisbane, Perth, Melbourne and Sydney check out the scene and decide what you like best.
Anyways howcome you're moving to Aussieland Matt?

And have you actually planned all this out eg. visa's n stuff?
yea SXR hooked me up with the embassy websites and immigration websites

honestly the MAIN reason is so I can get a GT-FOUR. hehe

and also I just want to see other parts of the world. The United States is great and all but australia really doesnt seem to have any major problems like terrorism or anything. plus the scenery and lifestyle appeals to me.
Good luck on getting a gt-four. you can't import JDM gt-fours >frown.gif> the only hope you have is to buy one that was sold here, or imported before the new sevs scheme. either way you'll probably be looking at $35k AUD or more unfortunately >frown.gif>

If you can even find one. I have seen 2 in the country for sale in the past year or so.
i have seen a few for sale in the country online.

what about new zealand gt-fours?

can you have those in oz?
No, the only cars that can be imported into oz are cars that a) are more than 15 years old OR b) have never been sold new in oz

The 6th gen celi is ruled out on both counts >frown.gif>

There is one exception... If you own a car for more than a year in a different country you can import it, but it must pass compliancing otherwise it will be unregisterable

have a read of prestigemotorsport.com.au for more info

There were something like 87 or 88 GT4's sold in Aus. I've seen them advertised around queensland for $28-30k. (in really good condition.)
-Matthew+Oct 24, 2003 - 6:26 AM

i am awesome
Yeah, I think it was 87. 87 1994 GT4's were sold for $81,680 ea.

Unfortunately, now that means that they are un-eligable for import >frown.gif>
81,000 US dollars??

you could convert a US celica into one for less than 20K

I just realised that, that place is just next to where I got and are upgrading my 300zx. Castle Hill seems to be the place to be. >smile.gif> I got it from Hills Motorsport but they currently don't advertise 'word of mouth' only net even in the phone book.
www. unique autos .com.au <- these guys are also in the same area. Got some short videos in there website and other stuff.
