The car shakes or the steering wheel shakes?

the whole car shakes.. the wheels are balanced.. i got another set of rims from my boys shop and it has the same problem so it cant be it..
could be a problem with your tires or wheels, check it first, also depends of the road, could be your shocks !!!!

Check your wheel bearings too. Does the car hum as well as shake? Is there any noise associated with the shaking?
if your rotors are F***ed enough it can cause this, when i bought my car my front rotors were so badly warped you could visualy see them bending front end shook at 80+ Kmph
my car did that when i first got new tires...got it aligned and it was fine, though my steering wheel shakes like crazy...idk what that problem is, anyone help? sorry for thread jack

pretty sure they are on correctly, and idk the rims were on the car when i bought it, sick chrome Focal rims <---rofl...chrome wouldn't be my choice but i dont have money atm to afford decent looking rims. idk though, when i go about 45+ my steering wheel decides it doesn't want my hands on it, so it decides it'll seizure out on me.

I agree with griffgirl, check your inner CV joints, if this is happening under acceleration mostly, or going uphill, etc it could be your cv joints.
I should add that the boots do not have to be busted for the joints to be bad.

Acid vag = bigger problem than a few dings.

It could be the rims - poor quality. My brother bought some rims for his car and it started doing this on his solara at 50+MPH and gets worse the higher you go. Got the wheels balanced twice and still same issue. His stock wheels never did this.

hmm, but my ride is smooth. and on some roads it hardly rattles... would rims make that big of difference?
