Question! What Do our Cars really weigh? - 6G Celicas Forums

So the 6th Gen was suppose to be lighter than the 5th Gen at least from what Ive read and a 5th Gen GT-S was close to or around 3000 pounds and most places i look up say our cars range from 2350 to 2890 Pounds. I realize options and models with affect how much it weighs so can anyone give me a clear answer about the weight of our cars biggrin.gif

Look on the sticker on your driver's side door.

Mine says 3355

Go to a recycling center and put the car on the scale. You will find out exactly what your car weighs in seconds.

Read again. That's GVWR, not empty weight.

I second the motion of going to a weight station. You could totally ask them to weigh your car for you, and then not crush it afterwards. =P

weighed mine a few years ago at the track, it was ~2975 with me in it, full interior ect.

My leather equipped swapped 99 GT weighed in at 2700 lbs with 1/8 of a tank of gas in it sitting on the stock 15's.

registration says 2600 lbs on the celi, my 5sfe camry weighs 2400.
