how much $$ does it take to swap from auto to stick? - 6G Celicas Forums

Hi guys, I'm lookin to buy a 6gc but can't find the 'right' one so i may have to just buy an auto and swap it to manual.

Was wondering if anyone knows roughly how much $$ it will cost?

depends on how much you can get the parts for and if you do it yourself.

decent shape s54 5speed (94-99) cost about 400$ shipped, then you need manny to bench press the tranny into place, then you need the pedal and shifter assembley/linkage

I was quoted 1000.00 from a performance tranny shop in san diego, ca. This was if I supplied all the parts and included adding a Limited Slip Differential from an 02 MR2 Spyder.
