7A-FE oil pan torque specs - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #6805 6 posts Started by Delta_Phoenix
My oil pan recently got fubared. SO, I'm replacing it. But I don't know the torque specs for the bolts, and I also believe that one of the holes are stripped. I've looked all over for the torque specs with no luck, and as for the stripped hole, I don't know what to do about that.

Need help. I've been without my car for almost a week. >frown.gif>
Tourque Spec :

4.9 (50, 43)

N*m (Kgf*cm, in*lbf)

its inch lbf not ft-lbf for whatever reason....

-Mikemjcoury@gmail.comTeam Reynolds StyleCelica BlogCelica WikiIt will take him a moment to realize that he's about to make a 180 degree turn at speed, but you will be ready for it. Brace for the g's, and fast heel-toe work.
I'm not getting this.

.083 lb-ft = 1 lb-in
12 lb-in = 1 lb-ft

So, if the lb-in torque is 43, then 43*.083 = 3.569 lb-ft

3.57 lb-ft doesn't sound right. Help me out. I know I'm retarded.

also, doesnt he need a tightening sequence?
